PAPIN APROYAN SHARES HIS EXPERTISE IN SOCIAL AND PUBLIC WORK WITH THE YOUTH FROM REGIONAL COMMUNITIES OF ARMENIA

Together4Armenia team was very excited about the news that Papin Aproyan, a former and a much beloved expert of our platform, will soon be visiting Armenia on a business trip.

Seizing the opportunity and relying on our good partnership with him, we contacted him and managed to find additional time in his busy schedule for travelling to Gavar, Vanadzor and Gyumri again.

Papin Aproyan is a Moscow based Armenian with huge experience in social and public work in and beyond Moscow. He was one of the co-founders of “Helping Hands” Charitable Foundation and is particularly experienced in managing charity and volunteer campaigns. For many years he has been running projects that provide psychological, social and financial support to orphans, children with disabilities and difficult behavior.

Thus, on the one hand, we had an exceptional expert who could contribute to the development of rural communities with his hands-on expertise. On the other hand, we had the communities where the needs assessment showed that the management of projects in social and public sector was among the most common needs voiced out by regional administration offices and civil society representatives.

The match was timely and beyond relevance !

Shortly upon his arrival, we picked up Papin and took him to the three cities for a full-day training. There he met with the representatives of regional administration offices, social workers, civil society represenatives and volunteers and empowered them with his experience on fundraising, project management and volunteering. He encouraged project managers at NGOs and volunteers with stories about how small steps lead to great achievements. He taught them how to write and realize wide-scale projects with small budget. Through his motivational talk he literally showed how young people and volunteers can affect the decision-making process of social and public sectors managers.
